CUT
The cut of a diamond is the single most
important factor in the appearance of the stone.
The "cut" refers to both the basic shape of the
stone (e.g. round, oval) and the make (the exact
geometric proportions to which a diamond is cut).
The cut of the diamond is the most important
factor in determining how much sparkle comes
from a diamond. A poorly cut stone will appear
dull or have dark spots. Well cut stones will look
brilliant and sparkling.
